Designer of spaces, places and things

  • Bailey Craighead

    Owner, designer

Rooted in a deep appreciation for design, craft, and human experience, Bailey approaches architecture as both an intellectual pursuit and a deeply personal practice. As an Architectural Designer and Educator, the Bailey’s work is informed by professional experience spanning educational projects in Fort Worth and high-end custom and speculative residential architecture in Austin.

Prior projects developed through previous practice have received awards, finalist recognitions, and publication for their thoughtful design and execution. The studio operates with a strong foundation in both technical expertise and creative exploration.

Beyond architecture, an expansive artistic practice — including sculpture, jewelry making, watercolor, large-scale painting, and the creation of natural dyes and pigments — continually informs Bailey’s approach to materiality, atmosphere, and detail. This multidisciplinary lens brings a sense of warmth, artistry, and intentionality to every project.

In parallel with professional practice, Bailey teaches foundation and graduate architecture studios as well as architectural theory at the university level. Existing between theory and practice creates a design process that is both conceptually rigorous and deeply grounded in the realities of everyday living.

At its core, Bailey believes great design should elevate daily life. Every project is approached as an opportunity to choreograph how a space feels, functions, and supports the rhythms of the people who inhabit it. Through close collaboration with clients, builders, and consultants, the studio transforms ideas, aspirations, and lived routines into cohesive environments that are invigorating, human-centered, and deeply considered.
